Second Jena Butterfly Night in the Botanical Garden
The Second Jena Butterfly Night will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 , as part of the special exhibition "Garden Finds City" in the Botanical Garden . The organizers of the exhibition and Dr. Frank Hünefeld from the nature conservation authority want to explore together with the visitors which moths have found the garden in the city. Cities are becoming increasingly important as a habitat for insects - in 2018, around 200 different butterfly species were recorded on the edge of a new development area in Jena alone using a year-round light trap!
