Jena tests next tank flasher

The municipal order department of the city of Jena is now testing the next armored speed camera. The "Enforcement Trailer" from Vetro Verkehrselektronik GmbH has been in use since today. The danger curve in Mühltal was chosen as the first location for the robust speedometer. Accidents occur there regularly, some of them serious - particularly due to excessive speed.

"The speed camera is only set up at sensitive points in order to specifically increase the safety of the population. These include not only accident blackspots, but above all school routes, roads in front of kindergartens and retirement homes as well as traffic-calmed areas," says Benjamin Koppe, Head of Finance, Safety and Citizen Services.

The city of Jena had previously tested the TraffiStar "S350" armored speed camera from Jenoptik for three months.
