Jena construction site report for the 37th calendar week of 2019 (September 9 - 15)

• Total closure Am Steiger 14
  From 09.09.2019 to 13.09.2019, a complete closure will be implemented in the above-mentioned area. During the closure period, the house connection telecom / electricity will be renewed. Pedestrians are not affected by the closure. The detour is signposted.
• Half-sided closure Löbdergraben at house number 1
  Due to renovation work at the bus stop, the road will be closed on one side from 12.09.2019 to 04.10.2019. The half-sided closure will be implemented by means of one-way traffic control in the direction of Teichgraben. Road users who want to drive in the direction of Löbdergraben must bypass the roadworks via Holzmarkt and Grietgasse or Knebelstraße.

• Camburger Straße, one-sided closure between Leipziger Straße and Scharnhorststraße, reason: laying of drinking water pipe, until the end of December
  • Initially, Camburger Straße will be closed on one side from Scharnhorststraße in the direction of the Aral petrol station and traffic will be diverted into the city via Dornburger Straße and Scharnhorststraße.
  • Full closure of the Camburger-Straße / Scharnhorststraße intersection during the fall vacations (October 7 to 19). The detour will be via Dornburger Straße and Nollendorfer Platz in both directions.

• Hufelandweg, sectional closure between Am Nordfriedhof 7 and Thomas-Mann-Straße, reason: laying of new gas and house connection pipes, until September 30
  • Detour via Ricarda-Huch-Weg to Philosophenweg and Kritzegraben.
• Lutherplatz/ Inselplatz, closure of approx. 1/3 of the parking lot, reason: archaeological excavations, until September 20
• Marktstraße in Lobeda-Altstadt, sectional closure, reason: expansion of Marktstraße between Marktplatz and Nikolaus-Theiner-Straße and further via Lobdeburgweg between Stadtgraben and Spitzbergstraße, until September 27
  
• Naumburger Straße / Rautal, full closure, reason: expansion of Naumburger Straße between Camburger Straße and Flurweg
  • The large-scale detour is via Brückenstraße - Wiesenstraße - Am Anger and back.
  • Despite the barriers in Brückenstraße: Please do not try to drive through the residential area! Public and school buses drive through the small streets. "Creeping traffic" would massively obstruct local traffic there. In addition, the sidewalks are partially separated from the carriageway - the safety of school routes has top priority.
• Rautalstraße, full closure including the Closewitzer Straße junction up to the entrance to Jena from the direction of Closewitz, reason: laying of new drinking water pipes, until September 27
  • The Rautal-Closewitzer Straße junction will be open to vehicle traffic again from September 27.
  • Rautalstraße from Closewitzer Straße to the entrance to Jena from the direction of Closewitz will remain closed until November 29.
• Schrödingerstraße 8-18, half-sided closure, reason: renovation work on the adjacent building, until November 8
• Tatzendpromenade and Magdelstieg, full closure, reason: fundamental renovation of Magdelstiege from Gustav-Fischer-Straße to Tatzendpromenade and Tatzendpromenade from Magdelstieg to Lichtenhainer Straße, until June 2020
  • The construction project is being carried out in two phases. The 1st construction phase is between Gustav-Fischer-Straße and Bertold-Koch-Platz.
  • The detour is via Otto-Schott-Straße.
• Westbahnhofstraße 2a to 6a, half-sided closure in the area of the retaining wall, reason: retaining wall renovation, until September 29
  • If there is a traffic jam into the city, the roadworks can be bypassed via Rathenaustraße - Curt-Unckel-Straße - Hainstraße and An der Brauerei.

• Complete closure of Stadtrodaer Straße
  Stadtrodaer Straße will be fully closed between 24.09.19, 9:00 am and 27.09.2019, 6:00 pm for the dismantling of the formwork, main bridge inspection and installation of the lighting. The detour will be signposted.
