Topic: 30 years since the fall of the Wall
The Wall fell 30 years ago. A reason to celebrate? Or does the disappointment outweigh the joy of what has been achieved? Even in boom towns like Jena, which have long since caught up with western German regions, many people still feel like second-class citizens. Despite the hard upheaval and the associated efforts, the achievements of East Germans are often not recognized enough.
What has been achieved in 30 years and why were some of the expectations of the reunification period disappointed? Presenter Andreas Wunn discusses this live on location every half hour on "ZDF-Morgenmagazin" with citizens and politicians. Guests will include Mayor Thomas Nitzsche, Jena-born Federal Commissioner for the Stasi Records Roland Jahn and Bodo Ramelow, Minister President of Thuringia.
