30 km/h on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße from 2020

In the interests of road safety, the speed limit in Karl-Liebknecht-Straße will be lowered to 30 km/h on a trial basis. At this speed, the risk of traffic accidents is significantly reduced according to the main causes of accidents.

The period is scheduled to last two years. During this observation period, the change in traffic behavioris to be observed and the development of traffic accidents assessed. The measure comes into force from 02.01.2020.

The traffic order was issued by the traffic organization of the city of Jena in consultation with Mayor Christian Gerlitz.
