Closure of the IGS is partially lifted again
Investigations by the health department have shown that pupils in Years 5-7 and Years 11-13 will be able to resume lessons from Monday.
Some classes in grades 8 - 10 will also be able to resume classes - based on the differentiated investigations by the health department. In some of these classes, quarantine measures only had to be ordered for individual pupils. This is due to the compulsory elective subjects taught across all classes.
It is important to note that even if the test result is negative, pupils and teachers who have been placed in quarantine must observe the 14-day quarantine period resulting from the incubation period of the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen.
Further investigations are still being carried out. The city is in discussions with its cooperation partners so that the testing of contact persons can be organized as quickly as possible. One class has already been canceled as of today (17.9.2020). The results will be available tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.
If pupils and teachers at the school show symptoms of COVID-19 in the meantime, please contact your family doctor or pediatrician by telephone in advance.
Up-to-date information on which classes can resume lessons from Monday will be published on the school's homepage tomorrow during the course of the day.
Should there be any changes, we will inform the public in general. We are in direct contact with the school management - also at weekends.
