Corona situation picture for Jena

By Tuesday evening (midnight), 33 new SARS CoV-2 virus infections were reported to the Health Service. Four new deaths in connection with Covid-19 have been added. 20 persons could be classified as having recovered.

Infections are mainly due to contact with people who are already ill. Three of the deaths reported today were in a nursing home. Many infections have already occurred there. Furthermore, there is a case accumulation in the university hospital.

Infection incidence at Jena daycare centers and schools

The following schools are affected with quarantine orders for individual classes:

• Western School
• Sports High School
• Stoy School
• State vocational school for health and social welfare

A group in the Lauensteinweg day care centre is also affected.
