Damaged area found

The damaged area that led to the interruption of the district heating supply was found in the late evening. The necessary repair work will start during the night.

Residents were informed directly by housing associations. The fire department was and is on site with 130 firefighters to ensure the supply to residents

A centrally operated citizens' hotline 0049 3641 49-5599, which was manned by up to 14 people, recorded requests for emergency accommodation. Some citizens were accommodated in hotels in Jena, but the majority did not need the offer.

Any hotel costs incurred are covered by the city of Jena.
