New general decree of the city applies from Tuesday

22.02.2021

On Tuesday, 22.02.2021, the new general decree on corona regulations of the city of Jena will come into force by publication in a special official gazette. This was necessary due to the new state ordinance. There are hardly any changes to the previous regulation. For example, the obligation to wear a face mask in special public areas (Grabenring and playgrounds) still applies. The regulations on the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public also remain in place. The Jena general decree will remain in force until 22.03.2021.

As the state of Thuringia has lifted the night-time curfew restrictions, the municipal ban on entering the premises has been removed from the general decree. Contact restrictions are now also governed by the regulations of the Free State.

According to the legal ordinance of the state of Thuringia, which has been in force since Friday, some relaxations have become effective, which also apply without restriction in Jena. For example, children up to the age of 3 are not included in contact restrictions, up to 25 people may attend marriages and funerals and guests in nursing homes do not have to repeat rapid tests if the negative result of a test is not older than 48 hours.
