Reward for tips significantly increased

30.03.2021

An intensive manhunt is still underway for the masked individuals who caused serious devastation in Jena city center on 13 March 2021 and committed a serious breach of the peace. The police have now formed a special task force. Various stores and banks in Löbderstraße and Markt were affected.

The reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators has now been increased. The city of Jena had already offered €3,000 and is increasing this sum to €5,000.

Thanks to the commitment of Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland, a further €5,000 is now available. As a representative of the victims, CEO Michael Rabich would like to send a clear signal in support of the search work.

This means that a total of €10,000 is available for pertinent information.

Head of Department Benjamin Koppe is determined: "The last meeting of the city council and the reactions from city society have shown that these acts of violence meet with widespread rejection. As a city, we will spare no effort to support police work and track down the perpetrators. Potential copycats should also be warned: in Jena there is no understanding for senseless vandalism."

Please send any information to the Jena criminal investigation department, Carl-Pulfrich-Straße 5a, by telephone on 0049 3641 811440 or 0049 03641 812464.
The phones are manned around the clock.
