Further tightening of the Avian Influenza Ordinance

The Thuringian State Office for Consumer Protection has issued an emergency ordinance. According to this regulation, poultry may only be sold throughout the entire territory of the Free State of Thuringia outside a commercial establishment or without such an establishment if the poultry has undergone a clinical veterinary examination or, in the case of ducks and geese, a virological examination no more than four days before being sold.
