Data collection for qualified rent index 2021 starts

07.06.2021

Since 2013, Jena has had a qualified rent index as an important instrument of municipal housing policy. It serves as a guide for people looking for rented accommodation, providing a transparent and clear overview of rent levels on the Jena housing market.

In order to keep the rent index up to date, it has to be updated every four years - and this year is no exception. This requires extensive data collection from both landlords and tenants. Over the next few days, more than 20,000 households will be contacted with the request to complete the attached questionnaire. Participation in the survey is of course voluntary. The more people take part, the more representative the overview of rental price data will be.

The data collection is carried out by the City of Jena and supported by the Jena Tenants' Association and Haus & Grund Jena.
