Corona: Information on the outbreak at the Angergymnasium in Jena

At the weekend, a further case of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus was reported in the vicinity of the Angergymnasium. This means that a total of 7 cases have occurred in connection with the outbreak there. The cases are spread over several years. The result of the sequencing has now confirmed the delta variant of the virus.

Due to changes in the RKI guidelines for dealing with this variant, quarantine measures have now been lifted for people who have been fully vaccinated. In addition, more than 100 people are in quarantine as contact persons. For safety reasons, distance learning was ordered for Monday in coordination with the school management and the school administration. Measures for the coming school days are currently being coordinated with the school authorities and the Ministry of Education. Parents will be informed by the school management.
