Picnic area on the Saale river destroyed again

Between Sunday (July 18) and Wednesday (July 21), the wooden support surfaces of the picnic area on the cycle path between Kunitz and Wenigenjena were stolen again. These had only been replaced a few days ago after the first theft in April 2021.

After the first loss, the screw connections were specially ground off. However, this did not prevent the perpetrator(s) from stealing them. The wooden supports were neatly separated from the metal supports. The damage is estimated at around €1,000. The city of Jena has filed a complaint.
