2nd meeting of the Jena Special Committee - dissolution decided
The special committee met for the second time today, Wednesday, and decided to dissolve it at the end of the meeting. According to the Thuringian ordinance, municipal committees can meet again with immediate effect. Therefore, from the beginning of May, both the committees and the city council will meet again, naturally in compliance with the distancing and hygiene rules, the wearing of face masks and the time limit of 120 minutes.
The draft resolution "Klima Invest as an important funding guideline for future climate protection and climate adaptation measures in the city of Jena", which was already on the agenda for the January meeting of the City Council, was recommended to the Lord Mayor for an urgent decision with 9 votes in favor and one against. The Committee for Urban Development and the Environment had discussed this proposal and recommended it to the City Council.
The submission was extended by a supplementary motion to include a report on the results in June 2020.
At the meeting, the medical officer Dr. Bán and Head of Staff Benjamin Koppe provided information on the city's bundling strategy and explained the information on hygiene concepts for companies.
