Corona case numbers

There were no changes on Sunday either:

• 158 corona cases in Jena, one person is undergoing inpatient treatment in the intensive care unit.
• There were 3 deaths in total. 149 people are considered recovered, so there are still 6 active cases.

Relaxations from 04.05.2020

The following changes will apply in Jena from next week:

Retail

From Monday, all stores are allowed to reopen, including those with more than 800 square meters of sales area. Only one person per 20 square meters of space may be granted access.

Playgrounds

Children's playgrounds will reopen tomorrow. Please keep your distance from other children and families, especially there.

Hairdressers / barbers / beauty salons / pedicure / nail studios

In addition to hairdressers and barbers, beauty and pedicure salons and nail studios are also allowed to open in compliance with hygiene and protection concepts. For the time being, no facial treatments may be carried out in hairdressing and barber salons and beauty studios. Hygiene concepts based on the specifications of the professional associations and trade associations will be drawn up this week.

Driving schools

Theoretical and practical lessons for moped and motorcycle driving licenses may be held again.

Music and youth art schools

Individual lessons and learning in small groups are permitted again, subject to strict hygiene regulations. The Jena Music and Art School is expected to open in stages from 11.05. In the coming week, the final hygiene and teaching concept will be worked out together with the staff of permanent and freelance teachers in coordination with the health department.
