Vaccination on site in Winzerla and Jena-Nord
The city of Jena wants to try to reach those citizens who have not yet had the opportunity to visit a vaccination center by offering vaccinations close to home. To this end, there will be decentralized offers for vaccination without an appointment in various districts of Jena.
Start is on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Winzerla and Jena-Nord:
09.00 - 12.00: Winzerla district office, Anna-Siemsen-Straße 45, 07745 Jena
13.00 - 16.00: polaris youth club, Camburger Straße 65, 07743 Jena
First, second or booster vaccinations with the vaccines BioNTech for persons up to 30 years and Moderna for persons over 30 years will be given. You can also just get advice from the doctors present. Other districts will follow in the coming weekends. The district mayors have been very helpful in providing rooms.
Mayor Christian Gerlitz emphasizes the importance of supplementing the previous vaccination campaign: "The corona waves are constantly presenting us with new challenges. Currently, the new Omikron variant of the virus is threatening the usual routines of our daily lives. Particular attention is being paid to the elderly population. In view of the increased infection rate of the Omikron virus, vaccination is the only way to prevent severe courses of the disease, especially for this group of people. I am therefore very optimistic that these new services will create the lowest possible threshold for local people and thus further improve the protection of the population."
