Corona situation in Jena: 188 new infections

188 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) by the Health Service on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Further procedure warning level 2

Yesterday, Thursday, the state of Thuringia sent a sample general ruling to the municipalities and districts of Thuringia, which contains measures for warning level 2 of the Thuringian early warning system. The sample general ruling is already aligned with the state's new ordinance, which is currently scheduled to come into force on Monday, February 7, 2022. In this context, the state has pointed out that measures in accordance with the model general ruling for warning level 2 can also be implemented from this date at the earliest.

At its meeting today, the Jena crisis management team carried out an initial assessment of the model measures. At next Monday's meeting, after reviewing the final legal ordinance of the state of Thuringia, it will discuss which measures of the model general order for warning level 2, which provide for further relaxation of the legal framework of the ordinance, can be issued. The decision will be based in particular on the further development of the infection rate.

• Two sports clubs are affected by infections and quarantine measures.
