Initial reception center for refugees in Jena

Refugees who arrive in Jena and need shelter should first report to the gymnasium at the Galileoschule, Oßmaritzer Straße 12, 07745 Jena. The gymnasium has been prepared as emergency accommodation over the past few days and is now available as an initial reception center. Ukrainian refugees are allowed to use buses and trains free of charge for the time being. They only need to show a Ukrainian passport or other identification. Streetcar line 2 and bus line 12 take you to the Winzerla stop.

Help hotline of the community foundation

Many people in Jena open their homes and apartments to refugees from Ukraine and then ask themselves: what now? What are the next steps? The Bürgerstiftung Jena-Saale-Holzland-Kreis has set up a helpline to support the city of Jena in dealing with these inquiries. The hotline is available at 0049 151 50430724 from Monday to Friday 10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 20:00. The hotline volunteers provide information on the next steps and look for answers to unusual inquiries.
