12th Jena Family Hiking Day on June 11
The 12th Jena Family Hiking Day will take place on June 11, 2022.
The event is organized by the Jena Alliance for Families with the support of Kommunalservice Jena, Stadtwerke Jena Group, Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland, MVZ Postcarrée Jena and Reha aktiv 2000.
Hike along the "Schlauen Ux"
The walk starts at 10:00 am at Schottplatz on the Jenaer Forst. Each family can start their hike along the "Schlauer Ux" at their own time. There are stations on the theme of animals, nature and the forest along a route of around four kilometers. All hard-working hikers can be rewarded with a stamp. Starting numbers for the family hiking day can be purchased on site for €1 . The appropriate stamp cards with the route are available to take away at the starting point. NEW: The hiking experience is also available digitally via the "natura jenensis" app.
At the finish, all participants will receive a certificate as a real hiking prince or princess and small prizes sponsored by the event organizers.
Bratwurst/grilled cheese and drinks will be provided.
Family festival on the Schottplatz
At the same time, a family festival will once again take place around the Schottplatz from 10:00 a.m. this year. In addition to a straw bale bouncy castle, beekeepers and stonemasons, visitors can look forward to other craft and activity offers. The new nature experience center forum natura, which will be a venue for nature and environmental education and education for sustainable development, will also open its doors.
For all those who would like to get to the Schottplatz in a relaxed manner, the Tschu-Tschu-Bahn runs every hour from 9:30 a.m. from the Langetal terminus.
