Integrative daycare centers equipped with vehicles for participation

On Monday and Wednesday of this week, Mayor Christian Gerlitz and Head of Department Eberhard Hertzsch handed over 4 children's bikes to integrative daycare centers.

Following an idea of the municipal advisory board for people with disabilities, the environmental department initiated a donation campaign as part of the CITY CYCLING campaign. The aim was to enable children who are not able to move independently to actively participate in outdoor play with the help of these vehicles.

With the handover of 4 vehicles, all integrative daycare centers are now equipped with such a vehicle. Over the past 3 years, a total of 10 vehicles have been purchased. The funds come from donations from individuals and the companies Asphericon and SCHOTT.
