On a discovery tour to the JENA Digital Safari

Interested parties can explore Jena's digital jungle on June 19. The digital ecosystem in Jena is diverse - innovative research institutions, young start-ups, agile software companies, experienced digital agencies and large tech corporations - they are all part of JENA Digital and are working on the digital future.

To mark the nationwide Digital Day on 19 June 2020, the JENA Digital network, which is part of the business development agency (JenaWirtschaft), is organizing a virtual discovery tour through the digital diversity of Jena's economy.

"We want to take participants on an exploratory tour through Jena's digital jungle. To this end, Jena companies and institutions are opening their doors to the public virtually, giving them a glimpse behind the scenes," says initiator and network manager Domenique Dölz from JENA Digital.

Whether it's an informative short lecture, instructive webinar, interactive workshop, lively talk, 360-degree tour of the companies, product presentation or job offers - participants can expect many a digital surprise.

The JENA Digital Safari was born out of necessity. Originally, a city festival was planned in the city center together with the digital agency Thüringen, but this had to be canceled due to the current coronavirus crisis.

"The digital city festival would certainly have been a highlight for young and old, especially in the year of the Digital Summit in Jena. Now we have had to reschedule at short notice. Instead of digitalization to touch, there will now be a digital tour to discover," says Dölz, inviting all interested parties to take a digital tour.
