Summer holiday promotion: free entry to the outdoor pool
The summer vacations are just around the corner and many parents are asking themselves: what are we going to do with our children during the next six weeks? The answer lies with our Ostbad at the foot of the Jenzig or our Südbad in the middle of paradise. For this summer of 2022, Jena's swimming pools are now announcing a special promotion that will benefit all families in the city on the Saale: all children up to the age of 14 can visit the outdoor pools for free from July 15 to August 28. This is made possible thanks to the support of jenawohnen.
Tobias Wolfrum, Managing Director of jenawohnen, says: "Jena is a young city. A lot of families with children live here. We want to give them, and all children in this city, a carefree summer with sports and leisure activities. The free admission is an offer for a wonderful vacation time at two idyllic recreational locations that can be used by all families from Jena and the region."
The outdoor pool season has got off to a good start. After a somewhat slow start in the cold, mixed May, visitor numbers picked up in the warm month of June. On Saturday, June 18 alone, over 5,000 visitors took a dip in the south and east pools, and over 35,000 in total since the pool opened.
Susan Zetzmann, Managing Director of Jenaer Bäder: "The season has got off to a good start. Every guest who visits our wonderful outdoor pools regularly or from time to time is warmly welcomed by our pool team. But we are also delighted to welcome new guests who are including the Ostbad or Südbad in their vacation excursion list for the first time thanks to this great summer promotion from jenawohnen."
