Here is the current roadworks report for the 32nd calendar week of 2022.

Unless otherwise stated, cyclists and pedestrians will pass the roadworks.

New construction site

Löbderstraße

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: between Paradiesstraße and Fischergasse
• Duration: 09- 15.08.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Closure of one lane. Traffic obstructions are to be expected.

Wiesenstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 30 to the level of the Schinner car dealership
• Duration : 08 - 26.08.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the surface course
• Details: The construction work is to be carried out in 2 construction phases (each as a full closure). The 1st construction phase from 08.08.2022 will take place out of town. Traffic will be diverted via Löbstedter Straße and Am Alten Gaswerk. Pedestrians and cyclists will be widely diverted.

• Reason: Work on the gas pipeline
• Details: A detour for motorized private traffic will be signposted on site. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Buchenweg

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 12.10.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Dorfstraße (Jena Wogau)

• Type: Complete closure in 3 construction phases
• Duration: until 12.08.2022
• 1st construction phase: Dorfstraße between the Wilhelm-Hauff-Weg / Dorfstraße / Im Tiefen Weg intersection
• 2nd construction phase: Dorfstraße in the area of the fork in Tiefen Weg
• 3rd construction phase: Dorfstraße from B7 to the junction with Im Tiefen Weg
• Details: Pedestrians can safely pass the closures.

Eichplatz (parking lot)

• Type: Partial closure
• Duration: until 04.12.2022
• Reason: Carrying out archaeological investigations in advance of the development of construction site A
• Details: In order to carry out the work professionally, restrictions on the parking lotare unavoidablefor a period of approx. five months. However, high priority will be given to maintaining as many parking spaces and pathways as possible during the work. The excavations will therefore be carried out in
  three consecutive sections, as shown in the plan below.

  We would also like to point out that the usual main access to Eichplatz via Kollegiengasse
  will not be available during this period. However, as an alternative to entering the parking lot
  the directly adjacent temporary access road can be used. In addition, one of the two access roads from the parking lot to the
  ramps leading from the parking lot to the "Neue Mitte". However, the second one is still available without restriction.

  The construction site installation, including the erection of the construction fence, will begin on Friday, July 1, 2022. The legally required no parking signs for the affected areas will be posted from June 27, 2022 . The excavation work will generally be carried out Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Felsenkellerstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 9 -11
• Duration: until 19.08.2022
• Reason: extensive construction work
• Details: A detour is signposted. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Forest road

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: At house number 35a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New construction of a residential building

Friedrich-Körner-Straße / Ernst-Pfeiffer-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 17.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: During the construction period (1st construction phase), Friedrich-Körner-Straße will be fully closed. ernst-Pfeiffer-Straße will then also be fully closed. A detour will be signposted. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Gerbergasse

• Type: Closure of residents' parking lot
• Start: 25.04.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation
• Details: Alternative residents' parking spaces have been set up in Wiesenstraße from the Am Saaleufer access road. These can be used immediately.

Holzmarkt

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 22.08.2022
• Reason: Maintenance work
• Details: Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. There will be 3 construction phases. Construction phases 2 + 3 will not take place until 2023.

Kochstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4 to the junction with Forstweg
• Duration: until 28.10.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Access/exit to the daycare center and day clinic is possible from Westbahnhofstraße.
• Attention: From 01.- 08.08.2022 a half-sided closure with mobile traffic lights will be realized in the Westbahnhofstraße corner Kochstarße. During the closure period, both the sewage and drinking water pipes will be renewed and connected to the existing pipes. Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site. If possible, avoid the construction site as far as possible, as traffic jams are to be expected.

Lobeda Old Town - Neulobeda - Drackendorf

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 30.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Löbichauer Straße / Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number 7a
• Duration: until 19.08.2022
• Details: Stadtwerke Jena Netze GmbH is renewing the gas pipeline from the Gembdenbach gas pressure regulator station to the footpath in the area of the glass containers in Löbichauer Straße. For this purpose, LöbichauerStraße will be fully closed in the area of the glass containers from 27.06.2022 to 19.08.2022. Traffic will be diverted via Am Steinborn. From 18.07.2022, Karl-Liebknecht-Straße will thenbe closed on one side for 3 weeks until 10.08.2022. A traffic-dependent construction site traffic light will regulate traffic during this time.

New road surfaces

• Type: Temporary stopping restrictions and closures
• Locations: Am Jenzig, Am Hirschberge, Eichendorffweg, Feldstraße, Kirchstraße, Kötschauweg, Steingraben, Reinholdweg, Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, Weinbergstraße
• Duration: until 31.08.2022
• Reason: Repair of the surface course
• Details: Stopping restrictions are required to carry out the work in order to clean the surfaces and carry out minor maintenance work. The very thin-layered new road surfaces can be driven on approx. 20 minutes after installation. As soon as the new road surface is passable, traffic will be reopened. The prerequisite for a rapid construction process is that all road users comply with the no-stopping regulations. In the event that the weather does not permit paving, the construction work will be postponed.

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

east Löbdergraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: between Lutherplatz and Saalstraße in the southbound direction
• Start: 20.06.2022
• Reason: Construction of the backbone network for the new university campus
• Details: The sidewalk in this area must be fully closed. Pedestrians and cyclists will be guided safely along the construction site

Otto-Schott-Straße

• Type: Full closure
• Location: At house number 28
• Duration: until 26.08.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The detour is via Magdelstieg.

Schlegelstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Corner of Drackendorfer Straße
• Location: Fiber optic work
• Duration: until 12.08.2022
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. A wide detour must be taken around the closed area. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Change to the one-way street layout in Unterdorfstraße and Wöllnitzer Oberweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Unterdorfstraße 2
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Construction work
• Details: The one-way street layout will be changed in the above-mentioned streets. In Unterdorfstraße, it will then be possible to drive out of the city and in Wöllnitzer Oberweg, it will be possible to drive into the city. Cyclists will be able to ride against the one-way street in Wöllnitzer Oberweg. Signage will be erected at the start of the construction work to raise road users' awareness.

Weigelstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Fürstengraben and Jenergasse
• Duration: until 29.08.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The detour is via the Eichplatz parking lot and will be signposted. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Wenigenjenaer Ufer

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 17 b to the junction with Tümplingstraße
• Duration: until 30.09.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the combined sewer
• Details: The construction work will be divided into 2 construction phases. A detour will be signposted.
  • 2nd construction phase: House number 15-17 b
  • 1st construction phase: Tümplingstraße up to house number 15

Wiesenstraße

• Type: Temporary closure
• Location: Junction Am Anger up to the level of Wiesencenter
• Duration: until 16.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: From 25.07.2022 to 19.08.2022,the civil engineering work willcontinue in the direction of Am Anger Hnr. 22 will be continued. The pavement must be fully closed for this. Pedestrians will be guided past the construction site by detour signs.

  Motorized private traffic is also affected. At the Am Anger / Lutherplatz junction, there will be a ban on left turns. Road users wishing to turn left from Am Eisenbahndamm via Am Anger to Lutherplatz and on towards Fürstengraben will not be able to do so during the above-mentioned period. The reason for this is the removal of a lane. It will only be possible to go straight on towards Am Anger or turn left towards Wiesenstraße.

Ziegenhainer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 7a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New house construction
• Details: Properties in the direction of Burgweg can be reached. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

• Reason: Pavement renovation
• Details: The construction work will be divided into several construction phases so that access for residents/rescue and supply services is guaranteed. A detour will be signposted on site. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Forest road

Tieckstraße

• Type: Closure on one side

• Reason: Installation of telecommunication lines
• Details: A one-way street will be set up for this purpose. As the construction work will also affect the entire pavement, a temporary traffic-calmed area will be installed so that pedestrians and other road users will have to use it. Access to the adjacent apartment blocks will be made possible.
