Joy at the senior citizens' star hike in Jena

The Jena City Sports Association and the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council invited people to a star hike. On Thursday, September 22, participants set off on short and long hikes from various meeting places.

The walkers formed themselves into groups and planned the starting point and time as well as the route individually according to their wishes. Members of the senior citizens' club Schott Zeiss Jena e. V., for example, tackled a long 8 km loop, while groups from the Begegnungszentrum Jena e. V. decided on a shorter walk.

The destination for all participants was the Burgau weir. Around 150 senior citizens took up the offer. Many like-minded people enjoyed refreshing drinks and delicious treats in the beer garden.
