Here is the current roadworks report for the 46th calendar week of 2022.

Unless otherwise stated, cyclists and pedestrians will pass the roadworks.

• The road surface has been resurfaced.

EXISTING ROADWORKS

B7 - bend at Isserstedter Grund

• Type: Closure on one side
• Duration: 11.11.2022, in the period from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
• Reason: Joint grouting
• Details: Traffic will be controlled by mobile traffic lights.

Construction work at the final stop in Erlanger Allee / Carolinenstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 16.12.2022
• Details: Any timetable changes to the rail replacement service can be found at www.nahverkehr-jena.de/fahrplan.(link is external) A detour for individual traffic is not necessary for the time being.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 13.01.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Dornburger Straße

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: At house number 6
• Duration: until 22.12.2022
• Reason: Laying of media
• Details: Traffic heading into the city will be guided past the closure by means of a one-way street. Out-of-town traffic will be diverted via Spitzweidenweg and Nollendorfer Straße. Pedestrians will be diverted to the other side of the road at safe crossing points in advance.

Eichplatz (parking lot)

• Type: Partial closure
• Duration: until 04.12.2022
• Reason: Carrying out archaeological investigations in advance of the development of construction site A
• Details: From October 5, 2022, the construction fences will be erected by Kommunalservice Jena and thus the third partial area (approx. 35 parking spaces) is now closed. The legally binding no-parking signs for the affected areas will be put up immediately.

  The path connection via the stairs to Johannisstraße will be maintained. The main access to Eichplatz via Kollegiengasse is still not available. However, the directly adjacent temporary access road can be used as an alternative to entering the parking lot.

  The excavation work will generally be carried out Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.

Forest road

• Reason: New construction of a residential building

Fürstengraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: from the junction with Saalbahnhofstraße to the junction with Leutragraben
• Duration: until 02.12.2022
• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: Fürstengraben will remain passable in the direction out of town; a one-way street will be set up for this purpose. Inbound traffic will be diverted. Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site.

Gerbergasse

• Type: Closure of residents' parking lot
• Start: 25.04.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation
• Details: Alternative residents' parking spaces have been set up in Wiesenstraße from the Am Saaleufer access road. These can be used immediately.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. There will be 3 construction phases. Construction phases 2 + 3 will not take place until 2023.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 1-6
• Duration: until 23.12.2022
• Reason: Laying of district heating pipe
• Details: Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the area safely.

Lobeda-Altstadt - Neulobeda - Drackendorf

• Type: Restrictions
• Duration: until approx. 31.12.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work to lay fiber optic cable

Eastern Löbdergraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At Saalstraße level
• Duration: extended until 02.12.2022
• Reason: Installation of a construction site exit
• Details: Pedestrians can still pass through the area.

Max-Gräfe-Gasse

• Type: Partial closure
• Location: Corner of Kreuzgasse
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for house conversion
• Details: The construction site can always be passed. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

Oberaue from the southern access road to the main access road at Stadtrodaer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Fundamental expansion of the access road, expansion and widening of the main cycle path connection
• Detour: A designated detour route will be set up for cyclists heading into and out of the city. The cycle routes run via Wöllnitzer Straße and Burgauer Weg.
• Restrictions for swimmers accessing Südbad/Schleichersee and the beach bar as well as for adjacent sports facility users: The facilities will be accessible from the main stadium access road via a temporary footpath. This footpath can only be used by pedestrians - cyclists must dismount.
  Guests of the Schleichersee and the adjacent sports facilities as well as the traffic school with cars can use the parking lot in the Oberaue directly next to the main access road. This is only not possible when FC Carl Zeiss Jena is playing at home. A planning board will be set up at the main entrance to Oberaue so that road users are informed.

Stadtrodaer Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: until 25.11.2022
• Location: Between the Goldberg tunnel and the Bäckergasse traffic lights
• Reason: Construction of the cycle diversion

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Full closure
• Location: House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. A wide detour must be taken around the closed area. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Wöllnitz and Ammerbach

• Type: temporary restrictions
• Duration: until approx. 28.02.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Change to the one-way street layout in Unterdorfstraße and Wöllnitzer Oberweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Unterdorfstraße 2
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Construction work
• Details: The one-way street layout will be changed in the above-mentioned streets. In Unterdorfstraße, it will then be possible to drive out of the city and in Wöllnitzer Oberweg, it will be possible to drive into the city. Cyclists will be able to ride against the one-way street in Wöllnitzer Oberweg. Signage will be erected at the start of the construction work to raise road users' awareness.

Ziegenhainer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number House number 7a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New house construction
• Details: Properties in the direction of Burgweg can be reached via this road. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

To the Ziskauer valley (Lützeroda)

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 21.12.2022
• Reason : Civil engineering works (sewage; drinking water)
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Closure of the Goldberg tunnel for cyclists

• Details: From mid-November, the Goldberg Tunnel will be undergoing emergency renovation work for 6 weeks with a full closure. After that, it will only be open to pedestrians. A temporary cycle path will be set up for cyclists along Stadtrodaer Straße to the Bäckergasse traffic lights. This situation will continue until the tunnel is completely rebuilt, for which planning will begin.
