Unless otherwise stated, you can walk or cycle past the roadworks.

FINISHED CONSTRUCTION SITES

Level crossing at Steinbach

• Complete closure is finished.

NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / CLOSURES

Library square

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: 20.03.2023 to 24.03.2023
• Reason: Expansion of backbone network
• Details: Traffic will be closed in the northbound direction (Damenviertel). Cycle traffic is not affected by the closure.

Camsdorf bridge

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: Eastbound direction (Jena East)
• Duration: 20.03.2023, between 19:30 - 22:00
• Reason: Repair of broken rails - Camsdorfer Ufer junction in Karl-Liebknecht-Straße
• Details: It is not possible for vehicles coming from the city center to turn into Camsdorfer Ufer. Traffic can drive past the roadworks on both sides. Pedestrians are not affected, but the work is taking place at the traffic lights on Wenigenjenaer Ufer/Camsdorfer Ufer. This crossing cannot be used during this period. Streetcar services will be suspended during the repair work.

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West

• Type: Closure of sections and path connections
• Location: between Theobald-Renner-Str. and Kastanienstraße junction and in the opposite direction
• Duration: 20.03.2023 to 29.02.2024
• Reason: Construction of a cycle path connection
• Details: In the first construction phase, the roadway will be closed on one side and the pedestrian crossing at Platanenstraße to Paul-Schneider-Straße will be fully closed. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists via Kastanienstraße/Klinikum will be signposted.

Löbichauer Straße

• Type: Full closure
• Duration: 20.03.2023 to 24.03.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Lutherplatz

• Type: Closure of one lane in westbound direction (Fürstengraben)
• Duration: 20.03.2023 to 31.03.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the backbone network
• Details: Traffic from Wiesenstraße and Am Anger can only use the three lanes again immediately before the Löbdergraben junction. Pedestrians will be guided past the construction site and access to Lutherplatz 3 will remain possible.

Closure of the level crossing

During the closure of the level crossing, the road will be fully closed so that no road users can pass the level crossing.

Mühlenstraße

• Type: Full closure
• Duration: 25.03.2023 (6:00 a.m.) to 26.03.2023 (6:00 a.m.)
• Reason: Work on the track system and the level crossing
• Details: The tunnel at Rasenmühleninsel serves as a detour for pedestrians and cyclists.

Saarbrücker Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At the level of Hnr. 10 A
• Duration: 20.03.2023, in the time from 8:00 - 16:00 o'clock
• Reason: Crane installation
• Announcement: On 24.03.2023 in the time from 8:00 - 16:00, there will also be a full closure of the location due to the positioning of a concrete pump.

Wehrgasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Height of Hnr. 8
• Duration: 24.03.2023, in the time from 7:00 - 18:00 o'clock
• Reason: Material delivery for the conversion of a listed courtyard

EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SITES

Berthold-Delbrück-Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: until 24.03.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Traffic will be guided past the construction site by means of one-way traffic control (direction of travel into the city). Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Carl-Zeiss-Promenade

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: Level with the university of applied sciences
• Duration: until 30.04.2023
• Reason: Electrical connection for a billboard

Fürstengraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: Junction with Bibliotheksplatz to before the junction with Johannisplatz
• Duration: until 24.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the sidewalk
• Details: A one-way street will be set up. Inbound traffic will be diverted (see appendix for detour plan). Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site.

Johannisstraße

• Type: Restrictions
• Location: Junction with Jenergasse to Johannisstaße 17
• Duration: until 05.05.2023
• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Local traffic entrance to the Göschwitzer Straße junction (Fiebig car dealership)
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 8-10
• Duration: until 26.05.2023
• Reason: Laying of drinking water pipe
• Details: From 13.03.23 to 26.05.23 Lessingstraße is not accessible from the direction of Am Steiger. Fröbelstieg can only be approached from Philosophenweg.

Lindenhöhe

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 05.05.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Drackendorf

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 28.04.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable

Max-Gräfe-Gasse

• Type: Partial closure
• Location: Corner of Kreuzgasse
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for house conversion
• Details: The construction site can be passed.

Münchenrodaer Grund

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: until 24.03.2023
• Reason: Tree maintenance work
• Details : Traffic will be guided past the roadworks by means of mobile traffic lights.

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Type: Closure of partial areas
• Location: From the main stadium access road to Roland-Ducke-Weg
• Duration: until 04.08.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the road and ancillary facilities
• Details: Access to the Oberaue will always be possible. In the first construction phase, work is currently underway from the main stadium access road to just before the Roland-Ducke-Weg junction. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.

Schützenhofstraße

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: from lower Closewitzer Straße to the level of Schützenhofstr. 66
• Duration: until 28.04.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site. Cyclists must dismount during the construction period.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. The restricted area must be driven around extensively. The construction site can be safely passed on foot and by bike.

To the Ziskauer Valley (Lützeroda)

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 28.04.2023
• Reason : Civil engineering works (sewage; drinking water)
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Dammstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: expected from 03.04.2023
• Reason: Renewal of pipelines and traffic facilities
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Sidewalk Kahlaische Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At Kotschauweg 2
• Duration: 27.03.2023 to 21.04.2023
• Reason: Work on the retaining wall
• Details: Pedestrians must avoid the footpath on weekdays from 8:00 - 16:00 via Burgauer Weg.

Spitzweidenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: from the junction with Scharnhorststraße to the old goods station
• Duration: 27.03.2023 to 28.04.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Traffic will be guided past the construction site by means of one-way traffic control (direction of travel into the city). Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.
