Philosophenweg

NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / CLOSURES

2x Löbdergraben

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At the height of the Roter Turm
• Duration: 10.07.2023 to 18.08.2023
• Reason: Track work for the new streetcars
• Details: Only initial rail traffic may use the construction site area

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Corner of Fürstengraben
• Start: 10.07.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the backbone network
• Details: Only rail replacement traffic may use the construction site area.

2x Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: at the level of the new residential area "Erlenhöfe"
• Duration: 10.07.2023 to 04.08.2023
• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: Traffic will be guided alternately by construction site traffic lights

• Type: Full closure and half-sided closure
• Location: Camsdorfer Brücke to Schenkstraße junction with full closure at Schenkstraße level
• Duration: 10.07.2023 to 18.08.2023
• Reason: Surface and track repair work along the tram tracks (inbound and outbound)
• Details: A detour is signposted (Jenzigweg - Wiesenstraße - Am Eisenbahndamm). There is a rail replacement service(link is external).

Nollendorfer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße
• Duration: 10.07.2023 to 30.12.2023
• Reason: Major road renovation

Winzerlaer Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: in the area from Buchaer Straße to Mühlenstraße
• Start: 10.07.2023 to 22.12.2023
• Reason: ITR cable connection work
• Details: The construction work will be carried out in 8 construction phases at intervals of approx. 170m. Traffic will be guided past on both sides by means of mobile traffic lights. The client is Stadtwerke Jena.

EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SITES

Am Anger

• Type: Full closure of lanes
• Location: House number 30-32
• Duration: until 01.09.2023
• Reason: Work on the drinking water pipeline
• Details: There will be lane swings so that you can drive safely in and out of the city.

2x Am Erlkönig

• Type: Temporary closures of the verge and carriageway area
• Duration: until 31.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work to lay fiber optic cables
• Details: The cycle path connection in the direction of Kunitz remains passable, but special care is required due to partial closures in the edge and carriageway area of the cycle path.

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: up to the Talstein nursery
• Duration: until approx. 10.11.2023
• Reason: Development of the local heating network for the emerging "Erlenhöfe" residential area
• Details: From 15.06.2023, the closure at the Gembdental/ Am Erlkönig/ Am Jenzig junction will be lifted. The detour to the gardens and the nursery will be via Kunitz. Access to the gardens parallel to the campsite (between Gembdenbach and Am Erlkönig) is not possible.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is mandatory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Damaschkeweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 55
• Duration: until 14.07.2023
• Reason: Sewer construction work
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Dammstraße

• Location: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße (1st construction phase)
• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Line and traffic system renewal
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West

• Type: Closure of sections and path connections
• Location: between Theobald-Renner-Str. and Kastanienstraße junction and in the opposite direction
• Duration: until 29.02.2024
• Reason: Construction of a cycle path connection
• Details: In the first construction phase, the carriageway will be closed on one side and the pedestrian crossing at Platanenstraße to Paul-Schneider-Straße will be fully closed.
• Please note: The southern ramp towards Karl-Marx-Allee in the direction out of town (A4/ Stadtroda) will be closed from 29.06.2023 to 31.07.2023. A detour is signposted on site.

Sidewalk closure from Lutherplatz/ corner Saalbahnhofstraße to Dornburger Str. 52

• Duration: until 14.07.2023
• Reason: Installation/conversion of catenary masts
• Details: For the most part, pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. If the pavement is completely closed, pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted accordingly. The construction work will begin on 02.05.2023 at Lutherplatz / corner of Saalbahnhofstraße and end on 14.07.2023 at Dornburger Straße 52.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot.

Kunitz

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until approx. 15.08.2023
• Reason: Continuation of civil engineering work for fiber optic expansion
• Details: There will be restrictions in the areas of Laasaner Oberweg, Blumenröschenweg, Unter dem Heuhm, Hinter dem Spielberge, Am Mönchsberge, Am Wiesenbach, Am Spielberg, Lange Straße, Laasaner Straße and Bachgasse.

Lobeda East and Illmnitz

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Lützeroda

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 17.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Type: Closure of partial areas
• Location: From the main stadium access road to Roland-Ducke-Weg
• Duration: until 04.08.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the road and ancillary facilities
• Details: Access to the Oberaue will always be possible. In the first construction phase, work is currently underway from the main stadium access road to just before the Roland-Ducke-Weg junction. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.
• For safety reasons, the main access road to the stadium will be fully closed to private motorized traffic for at least 2 weeks from 27.06.2023 until the traffic light junction has been rebuilt.

Sandweg

• Type: Full closure
• Location: House number 4-8
• Duration: until 24.11.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the district heating pipeline
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Schloßgasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Main entrance to the university to the junction with Saalstraße
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Wöllnitz

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + footpath closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Ziegenhain

• Location: Access from the direction of Closewitz/ Lützeroda
• Duration: 24.07.2023 to 11.08.2023
• Reason: Deep excavation work and cable laying
• Details: Krippendorf can be accessed via Vierzehnheiligen.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 8
• Duration: 17.07.2023 to 04.08.2023
• Reason: Redesign of the outdoor facilities of a building complex
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Weigelstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: 17.07.2023 to 01.09.2023
• Reason: Replacement of district heating pipes
• Details: Access to Jenergasse and Hinter der Kirche street is still possible during the construction period.
