The Working Group Judaism Jena, in cooperation with the city of Jena, invites you to this year's commemoration of the November pogrom on November 9, 1938:

The wreath-laying ceremony in memory of the Jews, Sinti and Roma deported from Jena will be accompanied by music, recitations, speeches and the reading of the Kaddish.
This year's commemorative speech will be given by Prof. Dr. Anke John, Professor of History Didactics at the University of Jena.
Planned program
- Music: Canon "We Shall Overcome" with instrumental accompaniment by Wasmund-Trio and Wanderklang
- Welcome by Sebastian Neuß, Superintendent
- Speech by Dr. Thomas Nitzsche, Lord Mayor of the City of Jena
- Poem: Gabi Rönnefarth
- Musical interlude: Ilga Herzog, flute
- Announcement and introduction of Prof. Dr. Anke John by city historian Dr. Rüdiger Stutz
- Commemorative speech: Prof. Dr. Anke John

- Announcement of the wreath-laying ceremony and the memorial and funeral prayer by Sebastian Neuß
- Joint tribute to the victims by the Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Thuringia and the Mayor of Jena, laying of a wreath with ribbon
- Words of the Kaddish
- Sebastian Neuß invites everyone to the market square for a quiet end to the day with a tea kitchen provided by the SAMS initiative.
- Playing and singing the song "Dos Kelbl" together, short moment of reflection
Sound of the stumbling blocks
In the run-up to the event, the "Sound of the Stumbling Stones" will again take place decentrally at various locations in Jena from 17:45.
