ENDED CLOSURES

Oberaue stadium main access road

The half-sided closure of the main stadium access road is expected to last until 22.12.2023. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.

Sandweg

Replacement of the district heating pipe completed. The road is completely open again.

Rautal from the junction with Erich-Kuithan-Straße to the junction with Ottogerd-Mühlmann-Straße

Closure at house number 161 lifted

Construction work on the elevated tank (Schweizerhöhenweg)

The no-stopping routes and detour signs associated with the above-mentioned closure will be deactivated. The construction work will go into the winter break and will be continued next year.

Type: One-way closure
Location: between the junction Vor der Gembdenmühle and the Jena town entrance sign
Duration: until 21.12.2023
Reason: Road surface renovation incl. sidewalk construction and fiber optic expansion
Details: Traffic will be guided safely past the construction site by means of a mobile traffic light system

Dammstrasse

Location: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße (1st construction phase)
Type: Complete closure
Duration: until 30.05.2024
Reason: Laying of pipes and renewal of the road surface
Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Drackendorf (Am Goethepark and Am König)

Type: Temporary restrictions
Duration: Extended until 05.01.2024
Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Ernst-Pfeiffer-Straße

Type: Complete closure
Duration: until 12.01.2024
Reason: Surface course + boarding installation
Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot

Grenzstraße

Type: Closure on one side
Location: At house number 2-4
Duration: until 01.03.2024
Reason: Construction of an apartment building
Details: Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site with the help of an emergency pedestrian route

Holzmarkt

Type: Complete closure
Location: At the "Roter Hirsch" inn
Start: 02.12.2023
Reason: Damage to the drinking water pipe repaired, investigation of cavities/ washouts still pending.
Details: The road remains closed to traffic. The buses of the lines 10, 11 and 12 of the Jenaer Nahverkehr continue to drive a detour. Delays are to be expected.

Lobeda old town

Type: Temporary half-sided closure + sidewalk closure
Duration: extended until 05.01.2024
Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Lobeda East and Illmnitz

Type: Temporary half-sided closure + sidewalk closure
Duration: extended until 01.03.2024
Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Löbichauer Straße

Type: Complete closure
Location: Lower Löbichauer Straße (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße to Eschenplatz)
Duration: until 31.03.2024
Reason: Civil engineering works
Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Naumburger Straße

Type: Closure on one side
Duration: until 31.01.2024
Reason: Reconstruction of the streetcar stop + installation of track replacement
Details: During the construction period, a one-way street will be installed from the Zitzmannstraße junction to Altenburger Straße. The one-way street is passable in the direction of the city center. The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Nollendorfer Straße

Type: Complete closure
Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße
Duration: until 30.05.2024
Reason: Major road renovation

Oberaue

Type: Complete closure
Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
Duration: until 31.03.2024
Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

Remderoda

Type: Complete closure
Location: Road in the direction of Remderoda
Duration: until 30.05.2024
Reason: Laying of drinking water pipe
Details: A detour via Münchenroda will be signposted.

Schroeterstraße

Type: Complete closure
Location: from the junction with Strigelstraße to the junction with Am Friedensberg
Duration: until 30.04.2024
Reason: Fundamental expansion of the road
Details: A second construction phase for the rest of the road is expected to follow from May 2024

Wöllnitz

Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
Duration: Extended until 05.01.2024
Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.
