Beate Wachenbrunner is Interim Managing Director of TIP Jena GmbH

Beate Wachenbrunner, the plant manager of Eigenbetrieb Kommunale Immobilien Jena (KIJ), was appointed interim managing director at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting of TIP Jena GmbH today.

Prior to this, the managing director was dismissed and it was decided to terminate his contract without notice.

On Thursday last week (07.03.2024), the Erfurt public prosecutor's office - the Thuringian special prosecutor's office for corruption offenses - and officers from the State Criminal Police Office searched the managing director's offices and private premises following a search warrant issued by the court. There is suspicion of embezzlement on the part of the managing director.

The position of managing director will have to be advertised publicly.

Addendum

The preliminary proceedings against the former managing director were discontinued on March 10, 2025 in accordance with Section 170 (2) of the German Code of Criminal Procedure (StPO). There is no sufficient suspicion.
