Open Gardens Day on 16.06.2024 in Jena

The event, which is organized on a voluntary basis, does not give too much away in advance

The Open Gardens Day in Jena will take place on Sunday, 16.06.2024, from 10 am to 5 pm. The event, which is organized by volunteers, is something special because interested visitors are not told in advance exactly which gardens are taking part. Visitors only receive this information after they have paid the entrance fee of 4 euros at one of the two so-called entrance gardens. They then receive a list of the 15 participating gardens and the corresponding directions.

Entrance gardens

The entrance gardens are the Schiller Garden of the University of Jena in Schillergasse 2 and the Volksgarten in Stadtrodaer Straße. The latter is located south of the Boock nursery/garden culture in the Saale floodplain.

15 participating gardens

One of the 15 participating gardens in Jena is a recently completed green space in the city. The gardens are located all over the city.
