Thuringian state election - Jena postal voting office opens on Monday, 12.8.2024

The preparations of the city administration of Jena for the state election on 1.9.2024 are in full swing. All Jena residents entitled to vote (Germans over 18 years of age who have been registered in Jena since at least 01.06.24) who have not yet received a voter's authorization can check whether they are entered in the electoral roll. The electoral roll will be available for inspection until Friday, 16.9.2024 at the postal polling station of the city of Jena. Inquiries can also be made by email at briefwahl@jena.de

By Thursday evening, around 13,000 voters had already applied for postal votes. The best way to apply for postal voting documents is via the QR code on the election notification or the city's website (tile with letter symbol or via direct link: https://service.jena.de/briefwahl-beantragen ). Online applications are possible until midnight on Wednesday, 28.8.24, but should be submitted as early as possible due to postal delivery times.

From Monday, 12.08.24, the postal voting office of the city of Jena will be open in the event room next to the citizens' service (access via Klostergasse). Postal votes can be applied for here and it is possible to vote immediately.

Opening hours

Mondays and Fridays from 08:30 to 13:00,

Tuesdays from 08:30 to 18:00,

Wednesdays from 09:00 to 13:00

Thursdays from 08:30 to 16:00.

On the Friday before the election, the postal polling station is open until 18:00.
