Proposals for the EhrenamtsCard wanted by 13.10.2024

01.10.2024

This year, the city of Jena is once again thanking volunteers for their work. The awarding of the Thuringian Volunteer Card will once again be integrated into the city's big thank-you event. As in the past, the Volunteer Advisory Board is supporting the ceremony with a financial contribution from the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation, according to Chairwoman Elisabeth Wackernagel.

Proposals for the EhrenamtsCard

Associations, organizations and initiatives can submit proposals. The closing date has been extended to October 13.

The Thüringer Ehrenamtsstiftung launched the initiative twelve years ago as a way of thanking citizens who are particularly committed to volunteering. The EhrenamtsCard is valid for two years. The card to be awarded now is valid for the years 2025 and 2026 and offers the holder discounts for a wide range of facilities in Jena and throughout Thuringia.

The City of Jena's Volunteer Advisory Board decides on the applications submitted. A total of up to 50 cards will be awarded this year.
