Who are Jena's best athletes?

Preparations for the Jena Night of Sport 2025 are in full swing: Jena's sports clubs and, for the first time, the public now have the opportunity to nominate outstanding athletes, teams and team leaders for their special achievements. The festive gala, at which Jena's best will be honored, will take place on 1 March 2025 at Volksbad Jena.

The Jena Night of Sport 2025 will honor successes in both the adult and youth sectors. Nominations in various categories can now be submitted online:

- Jena team
- Jena sportsman (over 18s)
- Jena sportswoman (over 18)
- Jena junior athlete (u20)
- Jena junior athlete (u20)
- Jena training management

On the nomination website you will find further information on the respective categories. Nominations can be submitted until October 31, 2024 via the online form on the official website: https://www.sportnacht-jena.de

Clubs and citizens are invited to submit their nominations and participate in honoring Jena's sport. All nominations received will be reviewed by a panel of experts and, if necessary, supplemented in consultation with the clubs.

Public participation

The nominees are then evaluated by the public and a panel of experts. The final vote will be carried out in a ratio of 1/3 by public voting and 2/3 by the panel of experts in order to ensure a balanced decision. The public vote will be launched in the coming weeks - further information will follow.

The Jena Night of Sport is an outstanding event in the sporting calendar of the city of Jena. It offers the opportunity to honor the achievements of athletes who have been able to shine through their ambition and sporting success at local, national or international level and/or who have attracted attention through particularly fair and sporting behavior. The organizing team is looking forward to numerous nominations and an unforgettable night in March 2025.
