Gas smell in the southern district - No danger for residents

Today, 30.10.2024, at around 09:15 a.m., a gas pipe was damaged by earthworks in the area of the construction site in Buchaer Straße. There was a noticeable gas leak for a short time. Stadtwerke employees and the fire department are on site. There is no danger to residents.

In the Am Hang, Beutenberg and Süd-Viertel areas, there may still be an unpleasant smell of gas. Due to the windy weather conditions, the smell should dissipate within an hour.
