• Connection of the district heating pipeline and laying of various media has been completed.

Kernberg district

• Fiber optic expansion is complete.

• Renovation of the city sewer is complete.

Löbichauer Straße

• Work on sewage, drinking water and gas pipes as well as basic road construction has been completed.

Münchenrodaer Straße

• Fiber optic expansion is complete.

Richard-Zimmermann-Straße

• Laying of the medium-voltage cable is complete.

An der Brauerei, passageway/underpass

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Passageway to Paradies
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works (drinking water pipe)
• Details: A replacement footpath runs along the streetcar route in the direction of the Vor dem Neutor underpass. Cycle traffic will also be diverted here

Burgauer Weg, cycle path

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: at the level of the access road to the Jenaer Nahverkehr premises
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Replacement of the sewage pressure pipes
• Details: The detour is via the cycle paths running parallel to Stadtrodaer Straße and Lobedaer Straße. Streetcar traffic and access to the Sparkassen-Arena will not be affected.

Carl-Zeiß-Platz

• Location: House numbers 12 - 14

• Reason: Renovation and new construction of the German Optical Museum

Dammstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of pipes and renewal of the road surface
• Details: A detour will be signposted. The construction work is divided into two construction phases:

3x Dornburger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure + sidewalk closure
• Location: between Nordschule and An der Eule
• Duration: until 30.04.2025

• Details: Closure of the roadway out of town (detour via Spitzweidenweg and Nollendorfer Straße), the sidewalk and the parking lane.

• Location: Southbound lane at the level of Dornburger Straße / Nollendorfer Straße
• Duration: until 18.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The detour via Dornburger Straße - Scharnhorststraße - Camburger Straße will be signposted. The northbound lane will not be closed.

In front of the Neutor

• Type: Half-sided closure, by means of one-way street regulation
• Location: In the area in front of the Neutor to the traffic circle
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Out of town, the street Vor dem Neutor can still be used. Inbound traffic will be diverted via Ernst-Haeckel-Straße - Ernst-Haeckel-Platz - Engelplatz - Grietgasse. Erbertstraße will remain open during the half-sided closure and can be used as usual.

Ernst-Abbe-Platz

• Duration: until 30.04.2025
• Reason: Construction work in the track area
• Details: Crossing facilities for pedestrians will be set up.

Forstweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: below the railroad bridge
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: New construction of a pressure reducing shaft for the drinking water supply
• Details: Traffic is permitted up to the construction site.

Friedrich-Engels-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Junction with Wöllnitzer Straße to junction with Kernbergstraße
• Duration: until 27.06.2025
• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: The detour via Jenertal - Kernbergstraße will be signposted.
  1st construction phase: until 23.12.2024: between the junction of Wöllnitzer Straße and the junction of Am Kochersgraben
  2nd construction phase: Beginning 2025: Between the Kochersgraben junction and the Kernbergstraße junction

  Bus route 16 Mühltal - city center - Ziegenhainer Tal is also affected by the closure. A shuttle service with minibuses via Burgweg and Ziegenhainer Straße will be set up.

Border road

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Junction with Geraer Straße up to the railroad bridge
• Duration: until 30.04.2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: A detour will be signposted.

Isserstedter Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from house number 21 to the junction with Zum Ziskauer Tal
• Duration: The work in the entire district of Lützeroda will last until the end of 2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: The detour will be signposted.

Jägerbergstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the Pfarrgasse junction to the Am Heiligenberg junction
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering work (medium voltage cable)
• Details: A detour will be signposted. The construction company will inform residents about the accessibility of their properties. The part of Jägerbergstraße that many people currently use to bypass the closed B88 federal highway is not affected.

Kahlaische Straße, footpath

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 4 in the direction of Sandweg
• Duration: until 30.01.2025
• Reason: Demolition work
• Details: The closure can be bypassed via Sandweg and Felsenkellerstraße. A detour will be signposted.

Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 49 - 87
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Maintenance work in the road/track area

Church square

• Type: Traffic restrictions
• Location: City church area
• Duration: until 30.05.2025
• Reason: extensive construction work
• Details: Access to the town church will be guaranteed during the entire construction period. Saalstraße will be fully closed for transit/delivery traffic.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Fröbelstieg and Max-Wien-Platz
• Duration: until 31.01.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works and construction site transportation
• Details: The construction site can be bypassed via Helmholtzweg.

Lichtenhainer Oberweg

• Type: Full road closure in sections
• Location: Tatzendpromenade junction to access to the P10 Zeiss parking lot
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of district heating pipeline
• Details: Diversions will be signposted via Friedrich-Körner- and Döbereinerstraße or Philipp-Müller-Straße.

Löbdergraben, east

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Steinweg and Lutherplatz
• Duration: until 18.12.2024
• Reason: Roadworks and media relocation
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via the following route Am Eisenbahndamm - Am Anger - Lutherplatz. The sidewalk on the eastern side of Löbdergraben is closed, the opposite side is free. Traffic will be diverted through the bus stop area in the direction of the Fürstengraben junction. Caution: When entering the track area from Löbdergraben, the streetcar has priority.
  
  From 18.12.2024, 9:00 a.m., the closure will be lifted and road users will be able to pass through Löbdergraben as usual.

Max-Wien-Platz

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Max-Wien-Platz / Lessingstraße / Kritzegraben intersection area
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Renovation of combined sewer
• Details: From the direction of Nordfriedhof, Philosophenweg is passable up to the junction with Berghoffsweg. Lessingstraße and Kritzegraben cannot be accessed. Coming from Straße des 17. Juni, you can drive towards Kritzegraben and turn off there. Other destinations - e.g. Lessingstraße or Philosophenweg - are not possible due to the above-mentioned closure.

2x Mühlenstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 48 - 100
• Duration: until 16.12.2024
• Reason: Work on the electrical line
• Details: The detour is via Lichtenhainer Oberweg. The area above can be accessed via Lützowstraße - Wildenbruchstraße.

• Type: Half-sided closure with one-way street regulation
• Location: At house number 21
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The one-way street will only be set up in the immediate construction area and can be driven on from Kahlaische Straße in the direction of Hermann-Löns-Straße.

Nollendorfer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: fundamental road renovation

Remderoda

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Road in the direction of Remderoda
• Duration: until 20.12.2024

• Details: A detour via Münchenroda will be signposted.

Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße

Saale bridge, Paradies/ Rasenmühleninsel

• Type: Complete closure of pedestrian bridge
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Reconstruction work
• Details: The detour leads over the Lichtenhainer bridge.

Schroeterstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from Strigelstraße to Forstweg
• Duration: until 30.05.2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: During the construction period there is no connection to Katharinenstraße.

Wiesenstraße, traffic circle

• Duration: until 29.11.2025
• Reason: fundamental redesign
• Details: Access to Kunitz and the adjacent industrial estate is only possible via Brückenstraße, but not via Wiesenstraße. A wide detour is signposted via Am Anger - Dornburger Straße - Camburger Straße. An emergency footpath to Kunitz and in the direction of Naumburger Straße leads past the roadworks.
