Changes to the route plans for the disposal of lightweight packaging

Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) would like to inform you about the introduction of a new route plan for the disposal of lightweight packaging (yellow garbage can): The previous disposal plan is still valid up to and including 05.01.2025. The new plan will come into force from 06.01.2025.

The adjustment is necessary in order to meet the increased requirements due to the continuous growth of the city of Jena. Longer routes for the waste disposal vehicles and increased loading times have made it necessary to optimize the routes. The aim is to ensure efficient and reliable waste disposal that keeps pace with the city's developments.

During the changeover to the new plan, there may be delays or overlaps in the collection of yellow garbage cans during the first four weeks of 2025. The KSJ asks citizens for their understanding and recommends checking the individual collection dates on the KSJ website at .
