Election notifications will be delivered this week
The election notifications for the Bundestag elections will be sent out this week. They should be received by the coming weekend. Anyone who has already applied for a postal vote does not need to do anything else. Anyone who has not received a polling card by February 2, 2025, but assumes that they are eligible to vote, please report to the postal polling station (next to the Citizens' Services) from February 3, 2025.
The City of Jena expressly recommends applying for postal voting documents online. The form can be found via the QR code on the election notification. It can also be accessed via the "Apply for postal vote" tile on the City of Jena's homepage(www.jena.de). This is the quickest way to enter and process the data.
The mailing of postal voting documents will begin on February 5, when the electoral administration for the constituency 190 Jena-Sömmerda-Weimerar Land I has provided all voting documents. Even then, it is only possible to receive postal voting documents at the postal polling station in the city of Jena. Anyone who has applied for postal voting and has not received their documents by February 15 should report to the postal polling station from Monday, February 17.
The postal polling station next to the Citizens' Services will open its doors on Monday, February 3. Here you can inspect the electoral roll and apply to vote by post. Immediate on-site voting will be possible here from Wednesday, February 5.
