Open-minded Thuringia: Action week starts

In view of the state elections on September 1, 2024, the "Weltoffenes Thüringen" initiative is launching a week of action. Numerous events are scheduled in Jena and the surrounding area until next Saturday, 24.09.2024. One of the slogans: "You don't care about Thuringia? Go vote!"

  • Saturday, 17.09.2024, 11:00 am, Johannisstraße: Song chain for tolerance and diversity
    Jena choirs sing along Johannisstraße for a cosmopolitan Thuringia.
  • Saturday, 24.08.2024: "Thuringia remains colorful" - Christopher Street Day Jena (CSD)
    This year, diversity, cosmopolitanism and queer rights are the focus of the CSD. The parade through the city leads into the lawn festival from 4 pm on Rasenmühleninsel. There will be concerts, drag and burlesque shows, information stands as well as drinks and snacks. The after-show party at Kassablanca starts at 10 pm.
  • On Saturday, 24.08.2024, the ZukunftsFest im Paradies will take place parallel to the CSD from 14:00 to 18:00 on Rasenmühleninsel. The Kindersprachbrücke, together with the One World Network Thuringia, the Stadtforst and the Carl Zeiss Jena brass band, are inviting you to attend. The program includes numerous hands-on activities related to sustainability as well as live music by singer-songwriter and climate activist Erik Stenzel.
  • Saturday, 24.08.2024, from 16:00: Punk rock at the turning loop, paper mill
    The bands HandyCap, Endlager Poolparty, TrasHpAnDaS, Oi!ronie, Rücksitzpogo and the incredible Andreas will be there. The youth political project "Kreuz ohne Haken" will also be there. Admission: 15 euros, drinks & food can be purchased on site.
