Participants wanted for study
In the course of the coronavirus pandemic, more and more effects of infection with SARS-CoV-2 have become known. However, specific effects on cognitive performance (e.g. impairment of working and long-term memory and executive functions) have so far been insufficiently investigated.
As part of a large-scale long-term study "CogniCovid19", the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg wants to investigate the extent to which an infection with SARS-CoV-2 changes these functions. Both the short-term impairments immediately after an infection and the longer-term effects that persist for months or only occur with a significant delay will be examined.
The Jena Health Service is supporting this research and is therefore asking the people of Jena for their help. A better understanding of Covid19 disease and its consequences can only be achieved through a wide range of scientific findings.
The study is looking for interested people aged 18 and over who would like to contribute to research into the effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection on cognitive abilities. The study is aimed at people who have not tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 as well as people who have already survived a proven infection (regardless of the time of infection or severity of potential symptoms).
