Presentation of the 2024 residential city monitoring of the city of Jena on 29.10.2024
All interested parties are cordially invited to the presentation of the 2024 residential city monitoring of the city of Jena. The presentation will take place in the public part of the next meeting of the housing industry working group:
On 29.10.2024
At 18:00
Dining hall of the Montessori School Jena
Friedrich-Wolf-Str. 2, Jena
In addition to the presentation of the results of the Wohnstadtmonitoring 2024, the focus will be on neighborhoods and encounters: Neighborhoods are important and represent a constant in many people's lives, but they are subject to constant change - due to demographic changes, economic developments, urban development projects, social trends and individual decisions of the people who live there. This is why living together in a neighborhood is becoming increasingly important.
Keynote speech
So how can we strengthen this togetherness? What needs to be done to facilitate more neighborly contact and create meeting places? What does social neighborhood planning look like? In the same thematic context, Franziska Wächter, elderly care planner for the city of Jena, will give a keynote speech.
Panel discussion
This will be followed by a panel discussion. This will serve to deepen the questions raised and to shed light on them from different points of view. The panel includes Tobias Wolfrum (Managing Director of jenawohnen GmbH), Heike Eisenhauer (Jena-Nord District Council), Michael Rudolph (Station C23 planning office) and Dr. Peter Bescherer (Friedrich Schiller University Jena). It will be chaired by Torsten Büker (Head of Local Editorial Jena, Funke Medien Thüringen).
Background
The city of Jena has been monitoring urban redevelopment for several years now. Current demographic trends and housing market developments are recorded annually in order to empirically evaluate the processes initiated by the urban development and planning departments.
