Public participation for the new "Winzerla meeting center"

The first participation event for the new meeting center in Winzerla is coming up:
All Winzerla residents are cordially invited to come to the Hugo youth center on November 5, 2025 from 5 p.m. and contribute their ideas and suggestions to the further design. Your perspectives should help to create a lively center that meets the needs of the district - so that the new building becomes a real meeting place right from the start.

The new building is to be constructed by the end of 2028 on a centrally located site next to the Flößerbrunnen fountain and in the immediate vicinity of Enver-Şimşek-Platz.

The project is being financed with federal funds from the "National Urban Development Projects" program amounting to three million euros, around 2.3 million euros from the city of Jena's own contribution and 1.56 million euros from the "Social Cohesion" urban development fund.
