Under the motto "We plant the future", the Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald (SDW) invites you to plant your own tree together. For three years now, the SDW has been organizing planting campaigns in the city forest area together with the regional association group Mittleres Saaletal, giving the citizens of Jena the opportunity to actively participate in forest conversion and the preservation of forest ecosystems and to actively counteract climate change.

Under the guidance of experts, all participants can plant a climate-stable mixed forest of oaks and wild fruit trees in a damaged pine forest. The main aim of the measure is to ensure the recreational and positive microclimatic effects of an intact urban forest for the future. The campaign allows all participants to see the forest from a different perspective and highlights the important role of the forest in the fight against climate change.

All participants are cordially invited to register for the campaign at mailto:info@sdw-thueringen.de for a time between 10:00 and 15:00. The meeting point Sommerlinde can be reached from the parking lots on the Lobdeburgweg (below the Lobdeburg) or Steinkreuz with a 40-minute walk.
