Realignment of the management structure at the municipal utilities
Stability and continuity secured in the Stadtwerke Jena Group
At their meetings on 14 and 15 December 2020, Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche will present the supervisory boards of Stadtwerke Jena GmbH and its subsidiary Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck GmbH with a good and stable solution for the immediate future of the management for approval.
The proposal by Lord Mayor Dr. Nitzsche and Mayor Christian Gerlitz will be to appoint two long-standing executives from the Stadtwerke family to the management board, who will contribute extensive expertise and experience from their previous activities in management positions at Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck and its subsidiaries . Both are to take up their positions, initially limited to two years, on 01.02.2021.
Together with the Managing Directors Thomas Dirkes and Thomas Zaremba, who are due to retire next year, the Managing Directors will pave the way for the further development of the Stadtwerke Group. A good and stable transition hasthus been found for the immediate future of Stadtwerke Jena GmbH.
The new team at the head of the Stadtwerke Jena Group stands for an orderly transition in the realignment,
says Dr. Thomas Nitzsche.
I would like to thank the new managing directors for their willingness to take on this responsibility and I am sure that they will succeed, together with the other managers of the Stadtwerke Group, in leading the group of companies into a stable and successful future.
