Register marshals for bike races as soon as possible

The starting signal for the 36th LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour will be given in Jena on 25.06.2024. A good 50 volunteers are needed to secure the route for this stage of the cycling race. The marshals will receive a briefing from the police on the morning of the event. Depending on their location, they will then be on duty at their post for one or one and a half hours between 12:00 and 16:30.

Volunteers should be at least 18 years old and ideally bring high-visibility vests and whistles. Anyone interested is asked to get in touch as soon as possible with their address and telephone number at: sportverwaltung@jena.de. Everyone will receive vouchers for a drink and bratwurst.

Background information:

For the first time since 2011, Jena is back on the Tour's stage schedule. The tour (UCI Women's ProSeries) runs over six stages. After the start on 25.06.2024 in Jena, it continues to Gera. Many top female riders and teams are expected, as the race is an important dress rehearsal for the Olympic Games in Paris, which begin just under four weeks later. The international teams will introduce themselves at a public team presentation in the city on June 24. This will be an opportunity for fans to see the riders and get in the mood for the race.
