Return election letters as soon as possible

18.02.2025

Around 26,500 Jena residents, i.e. around 30 percent of the almost 80,000 eligible voters in Jena, have applied for postal voting for the Bundestag election taking place on Sunday. They are now urgently requested to return their red election letter to the city administration immediately and to observe the postal delivery times. The postal ballot letter can also be handed in to the postal voting office of the city of Jena (next to the Citizens' Services) until Friday, 18:00. It can be posted in the City of Jena's deadline letterbox at Am Anger 15 until midnight on Saturday. More than 10,000 election letters have already been returned.

Anyone who has applied for postal voting but has not yet received the documents is asked to contact the city's postal voting office by Friday afternoon at the latest. The online application for postal voting documents ends on Wednesday at 12.00 noon. After that, the only option is to go to the postal polling station or to the ballot box on election Sunday. You can also vote immediately at the postal polling station, where there is a ballot box for postal votes.
