Safe with a rollator - find out more and try it out!

On Thursday, 26.09.2019, from 10:00 a.m. , an information event on safety with a rollator will take place at Jena City Council, Lutherplatz 3 (consultation room).

In addition to information about the rollator, there will also be advice on the topics of living environment, care, fall prevention and local transport.

The focus of this event is on testing, trying out and practical experience. Attention is paid to the safe handling of the aid as well as to professional and proper use.

For example, Jena's local public transport service will be present with a bus where safe boarding and alighting can be practiced. An obstacle course offers opportunities to move on uneven ground and overcome obstacles with the rollator.

Staff from the senior citizens' office, housing advice and care support center as well as local transport and medical supply store Alippi will be on hand to answer questions and give practical tips for everyday life.

This event is taking place as part of this year's Senior Citizens' Days and is supported by the city's Local Senior Citizens' Advisory Council.
