School starts in Jena on Monday

School starts next Monday for 1,100 first-graders from Jena. This is once again a new record number of new pupils (2021/2022: 1,033; 2020/2021: 1,027; 2019/2020: 1,016; 2018/2019: 1,010).

The ABC pupils attend 11 elementary school and 11 community schools (state and independent) as well as a special needs center. 11 children from Jena attend various schools in the surrounding area.

Please take care on the roads - increased checks planned in front of schools

All road users are asked to take care and exercise caution not only, but above all, in the immediate vicinity of schools. During the first two weeks, police and public order officers will have an increased presence in front of schools and will carry out speed checks, among other things.
