The supervisory bodies of Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck have appointed Claudia Budich as Managing Director until 2026. A second personnel matter has also been decided: Kristin Weiß will be at the helm of Stadtwerke Jena Netze until May 2027. She had previously been appointed as interim Managing Director until May 2022. Following a demanding selection process, Kristin Weiß has now also been chosen for the final appointment at Stadtwerke Jena Netze.
"With these two important decisions, the supervisory bodies have sent a strong signal of stability and continuity for the municipal utilities association here in Jena. I look forward to continuing the trusting cooperation with the two experienced managers,

Following his move last June, Kristin Weiß was initially appointed interim Managing Director of the grids by the supervisory bodies. The 44-year-old has worked in various positions at Jenaer Stadtwerke since 2009 and has managed the Gas/Water Network Operations and Technical Customer Service departments, among others. With the appointment of Kristin Weiß as Managing Director of Stadtwerke Jena Netze until 2027, this interim solution has now been successfully concluded.

Claudia Budich, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck:
"Stadtwerke Jena has impressively demonstrated to its customers how safe and reliable our services are, even since the outbreak of the corona pandemic. We are now focusing on issues such as the conversion of the district heating supply and the accelerated expansion of renewable energies. We are thus making a decisive contribution to the success of the energy transition here in the region.I'm looking forward to that. "
Kristin Weiß, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Jena Netze:
"In the coming years, further investments in our supply grids are on the agenda so that the energy transition can succeed and we can continue to ensure the enormously high quality of supply here in the region. This is an exciting and important task.Because in the electricity sector alone, around 60,000 households and commercial units in our supply area are currently supplied via our 2,300-kilometre-long pipeline network.
